Thanksgiving feast

We had to go to the elementary school yesterday instead of Thursday, because Mrs.Jarell wasn’t going to be here today. When I got to the elementary school, all the students were watching a Charley Brown Thanksgiving movie. I was surprised because usually at this time they would be getting ready for lunch. Mrs. Crayola then informed me that the class is going to have a thanksgiving feast. She them told me to please go across the hall and help set up. I didn’t want to leave the children but I did as she said. When I got into the room I was astonished at all the food. There were a few of the children’s parents there and they were putting the plates and cups where they belong. I helped serve the food. I noticed a few of the parents some of them were friends of my mom. After that the children were welcomed into the room and were seated. The teachers including me where welcomed to eat.  By time it was done, it was my time to leave. I didn’t want to leave. This visit the children were really well behaved. Maybe that was because their parents were in the room. It was a great visit. I can’t wait until next Thursday.

7 hour day.

Oh, gosh yesterday I went a full day instead of just an hour like every other Wednesday. Working with those children was a lot of work. It showed me how much time and work goes into being a teacher. When I got into the class I had to sit with the children for carpet time.  And the teacher read a book and told the class what she will be doing with them today. It just so happen to be the day they were making turkeys with their hand and finger paint.  It was such a joy to hear the children squirm and laugh while doing arts and crafts. After that we went to lunch, and had recess. I noticed that during recess the child told on each other a lot.  But put that aside everything was ok. After lunch they had a two hour nap. And by time they woke up it was my time to leave. I really didn’t want to leave

Halloween with Pre K

Thursday, when I went to the elementary school,  it just so happened to be the morning of Halloween. When I entered the classroom I saw a table full of cupcakes, goody bags, and other Halloween treats. Those children where whirred they were off the wall hyper. They couldn’t even sit down to eat lunch without things going haywire. But I was amazed on how adorable they were, they had their little costumes on and they were anxious about the night ahead of them. I had also every kid in the class come up to me and tell me about how they are going to get a lot of candy when they go trick or treating after lunch there we let them t\run around in the gym, I  noticed they liked to play “red light green light” and “duck  duck goose”  I can defiantly say that this was a hectic and exhausted visit.
